There’s something magical about capturing everyday love through paper and photos. Today, I’m excited to share a soft and sweet 12x12 scrapbook layout featuring the gorgeous Golden Afternoon collection from Rosie’s Studio.
This layout came together with a focus on heartfelt moments and soft, feminine details. I wanted to highlight three small snapshots that mean the world to me, and this collection made it effortless. From the delicate butterflies to the lush florals and golden accents, every piece works in harmony to create a gentle and layered design.
The Design Process
I started with a subtle houndstooth patterned background to keep things light but interesting. Then I built my focal point using stacked half circles, one in a warm woodgrain and another in a soft pink. These grounded the central photo cluster while giving the layout dimension and movement.
I layered die cuts, fussy-cut florals, and ephemera from the Golden Afternoon line to frame my vertical photo strip. Each photo is popped with a mini Polaroid-style frame to give it a clean and cohesive look. The floral clusters and butterfly embellishments soften the angles and help draw your eye through the layout naturally.
Embellishing with Intention
To bring in more texture, I added puffy stickers, a few gold foiled accents, and a charming sentiment strip reading “wonderful memories.” One of my favorite little details is the tiny black heart and the butterfly layered on the right-hand side. It adds contrast and a whimsical feel without overpowering the soft tones.
I finished off the page with the large title, “Life is Lovely,” layered right below the photo strip. It's bold enough to anchor the layout, yet elegant with its brush script styling. And honestly, it sums up the feeling I have every time I look at these photos.

Don’t be afraid to mix flat die cuts with dimensional elements.
